The crop was damaged by hail 2 days prior to harvest.  Hail reduced the harvest by about 20%, leaving most stalks usable but pockmarked on the surface.  Weather forecasts of noon or earlier thunderstorms lead to cautioning customers that we might close early.  As a result, we experienced extremely large crowds Saturday morning and sold out by 1pm, just as the thunderstorm hit.  We therefore were closed Sunday.
