Pick Your Own at High Altitude Rhubarb
Harvest Status: The 2008 harvest is over. Most of the crop had been harvested but the remaining rhubarb was dessimated by hail the night of July 3rd. All available roots and plants were also sold. We thank you all for your participation in this year's harvest and look forward to seeing you again next year. Please contact us if you'd like to be kept informed of future events, such as the 2009 harvest.
As a fun opportunity you are welcome to come and pick your own fresh, organic rhubarb. This is offered by appointment only. We'll greatly enjoy talking with you about such arrangements. Please
contact us for more information. The rhubarb normally first reaches harvest quality in mid-May and

maintains good quality until August.
The rhubarb fields are park-like during the growing season. They offer a welcome relief from the heat and hubbub of the city. A few added bonuses are possible as well, though they cannot be promised. For example, thousands of ladybugs have been known to emerge from our fields during the growing season. Such a sighting is rare and thrilling. You're welcome to come visit our farm and pick to your heart's content. Bring boxes and bags or use our recycled bags and, by all means, come to enjoy yourself! (By
appointment only, please.)
We have lots of quality rhubarb for your enjoyment but, alas, no facilities for long visits. Fortunately, the nearest gas station is only 2 miles from the farm. Also, we are not able to accept credit cards...cash or check only please.
NOTIFICATION: It will be our pleasure to notify you when our crop is available for your harvest. Just

send an
email or write. We'll get back to you as soon as the information is firm. Harvest normally begins in mid-May to June and lasts through July and sometimes August. Such a request involves no commitment on your part, or ours, and we will keep your contact information confidential, sharing it with others only if required to do so by law. We'll never send spam.
