Pick Your Own at High Altitude Rhubarb
The 2010 harvest is approaching. Plants first reach optimal quality at the end of May and through June. Please left-click here and request to be placed on our email distribution list. We won't send spam, just important updates about the harvest as Mother Nature reveals the actual harvest dates.
Picking your own rhubarb offers a fun and convenient way to keep your grocery bill lower while adding high quality food to your pantry. We are 30 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs and one hour from downtown Denver. Your reward for the trip is the ability to buy decidedly fresh organic rhubarb (on the plant until you pick it!) for a price much closer to wholesale than to retail. It is a win/win for us all. We make a little more money because we're saved the effort of pciking, packaging and delivering and you get to buy a very high quality product for about half the price of less fresh products in reputable grocery stores.

We're open for picking-your-own during our scheduled weekend harvest days or by appointment during the work week. We'll glady with you about such arrangements. Please
contact us. Our harvest normally begins in late May and ends in July/August, hail permitting.
The rhubarb fields are park-like during the growing season. They offer a welcome relief from the heat and hubbub of the city. A few added bonuses are possible as well, though they cannot be promised. For example, thousands of ladybugs have been known to emerge from our fields during the growing season. Such a sighting is rare and thrilling. Deer, fox and birds of prey are also common visitors.
We have lots of quality rhubarb for your enjoyment but, alas, no facilities for long visits. (no public restroom or wash facilities) Also, we are not able to accept credit cards...only cash or check.
NOTIFICATION: It will be our pleasure to notify you when our crop is available for your harvest. Just

send an
email or write. We'll get back to you as soon as the information is firm. Harvest normally begins in May to June and lasts through July and sometimes August. Such a request involves no commitment on your part and we will keep your contact information confidential, sharing it with others only if required to do so by law. We'll never send spam.
