High Altitude Rhubarb Organic Nursery & Farm

Growing at 7700' in the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains
This photo was taken June 8, 2009.  The woman is 5' 8" in height.  The plants are 4' 2" tall (just the leaves, not counting the flowering seed heads).  The plants are over 8' in diameter at the ground!!  This is our primary crop in 2009, though the pure red varieties are finally coming into production this year, too.  Each victoria plant produces about 80 pounds of fresh, organic rhubarb in the first picking!!...meaning we harvest 40 pounds from each plant, leaving another 40 on the plant.  If you're knowledgeable about rhubarb you know this is truly phenomenal.
